With gorgeous weather, a demanding track in excellent conditions on Sunday was the final of the National Autocross Championship in the track La Olla in Sabanilla de Alajuela.
It featured one of the most important assistance in this track of this year, without neglecting the large number of incidents, relines, overturning and track outputs that were presented during competitions of each different category.
We begin with the category of the 4 cylinders, where Jeffrey Castillo in the vehicle #14 remained an important domain during the three previous dates to reach the grand final with a total of 103 points, conditions were favorable for Castillo, who was victorious on the date and won the national title in its category with a total sum of 140 units (unofficial).

At the end of the division of the 6 cylinders Gustavo Solano and Jairo Umaña won the race but the national title could not be established yet explained the Race Director, Fernando Madrigal, both pairs are tied with 118 points and tiebreakers are applied to determine the champion.

Jose Flaqué in the "Green Hornet" number 40 not got the lead and reached the pot to win but the surprise of many was Rigoberto Salas and Carlos Madrigal by winning the race and scored 37 points.

After several years of absence the Autocross is back to stay and promises a 2015 championship which will be race in different parts of the country and with more pilots. This is an event organized by the Sports Association Autocross with the support of the Costa Rican Federation of Motors (EMCF).
